Mike Brinkley grew up in the Apopka area and has always had a love of nature. Around 1995 his wife Robin gave him a camera as a gift and he began to merge his love of nature with photography.

He has been actively involved with the Oakland Nature Preserve since October 2002 and is currently a board member. He specializes in Florida Nature and Wildlife photography and most of his images are captured at the Oakland Nature Preserve and around Lake Apopka.

Mike has won awards for his work from Orange Audubon Society and Florida Wildlife Magazine and has had his work selected for judging at the Apopka Art & Foliage Festival.  His images are featured on the sign at Newton Park in Winter Garden.

In July of 2008 he organized and launched the 1st annual Lake Apopka Clean Up, working from both Magnolia Park in Apopka and Newton Park in Winter Garden with both airboaters and ground workers joining to clean up trash from around the lake.

Mike’s love of nature and of the lake is evident in his photography.  If you would like to order prints or contact him for stock photography, please email him at mbrinkley@mikebrinkleyphoto.com.
